Portel des Corbières

Located between the hills of Bade and Serre, crossed by the Berre, the village of Portel welcomes you for a bit of peace and quiet.

Set between vines and river, one discovers the variety of the landscapes of the Corbières maritimes, which crossed the Greeks, then the Romans on the street Héracléenne and later the Domitia.

Visit the majestic ruin of the chapel of Notre Dame des Oubiels.

Nestled in the heart of the Corbières, we let ourselves be seduced by the charm and tranquility of this small village.

We visit Terra Vinea and its spectacular descent to 80 meters underground to discover the civilization of wine and Mediterranean cultures.

The bridge of Tamaroque, built in 1864 crosses the Berre to link by road the high Corbières to the sea.

The Choralies de la Berre, not to be missed in early July, when the chorus resonates in unison in the exceptional theater of Notre-Dame-des-Oubiels.

Notre-Dame-des-Oubiels, a majestic ruin set between vineyards and olive trees, is listed as a historical monument.
